If any of you guy's have never seen the big bike's on a 1 mile track, you haven't seen some of the best racing in the world.... These boy's are a special bread of cat, and their going to be up this way in Prescott valley on May 1st. http://www.amaproracing.com/ft/events/event.cfm?eid=2010021010 Some might say these guy's are crazy, and more than a few would agree. To top it off, the sprint cars will be running that same night, and right on the same propert... I can't wait, I haven't seen the flat trackers in person on a one mile in years, and that was at the State fairgrounds in Phoenix a long long time ago.
Terry, you might have seen these guy's run out there, and maybe at the Springfield or the Syracuse mile?

I used to see them all the time at Santa Fe Speedway just outside of Chicago... great races...

Not to put it down, but Santa Fe Speedway was a small 1/2 mile. Of all the short tracks in Illinois though, it probably was the most famous. Back in the day, the circuit for the open wheel boy's was Illinois, Ohio, and of course my home state Indiana.
This is what they look like on the big mile track at Indiana state fairgrounds. (below)
I can't get it to download the vidio, so I thought I'd do this instead. .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k8hJWKIVNs..............is Kenny nut's or what!

They also ran 1/4 mile at Santa Fe... now that was crazy racing... the bikes would be sideways throughout the entire race... back then Kenny Roberts was motorcycle racing no one else could be compaired to him...
