Latest Updates on Mar de Cortes Airport?

Aloha! I wanted to see if anyone has heard any news coming out of the airport and if there were any airlines that were back to flying to Puerto Penasco. I live in Hawaii now and wanted to plan a trip over later in 2017 and saw there was a a new charter service out of Deer Valley, AZ that flies down on Fridays which I thought was awesome. What about any Mexican airlines? I saw there was an airline that used to, I'm not sure if it does anymore, fly to Puerto Penasco out of Tijuana and was thinking that would be a great option as the new Cross Border Xpress is open in San Diego, so that passengers can now enter the Tijuana airport from the United States for a small fee. But I'm having trouble locating any flights from Tijuana, are they seasonal?

TAR Airlines may be coming back this summer. Let's hope so.

Was just at airport this week. They told me there is a charter from the Deer Valley airport that flies there. No commercial flights yet

A 737 flying from Mesa to RP? I give the cruise ship idea better chances than that.
