Tucson/ Kurd with green card safe to come?

My neighbor is a Kurd refugee with a green card....likes to fish... wondering if he is safe to come down...he fought on our side for God's sake!

I would think as long as he scrapes the Trump/Pence bumper stickers off his car he should be ok.
