My iPhone is now unlocked. I already have a Telcel number I want to keep in a cheapie Telcel phone. I think I need to buy a new SIM card to the nano one for the iPhone - can I keep my current Mexican number? I need to go a Telcel office in Penasco to do this, right?
Thanks!

Theres a few non-telcel "providers' that can do this for you, I will see what I can come up with.

You need to cut your current SIM down to size. You can do it yourself or order one of these for 10 bucks http://www.amazon.com/cutter-iPhone-Simcard-Cutter-Micro/dp/B009ERXEDK

Or the guys at the cell phone hospital shop on Benito Juarez can probably do it.

who would have thought you could cut it! where on benito juarez is the cell phone hospital?

Before Lucas on the right when heading to the port in the 2 story strip mall.

Great tutorial. I'm a little nervous about cutting it myself. How much do they charge to do it?

Here is a great reviewed dual SIM 4G smartphone for $160.00 that has a 4 day battery life,

My wife needed to do the same thing and I just took the SIM card to a Movistar store and they had a tool to do it and did it for free right there. I think if you went to the TelCel store and asked they'd probably do it for free as well. BTW, we also got this Motorola dual-sim phone for her and it has been amazing:

Makes it super easy to have just one phone and switch back and forth from USA to MEX!
