I think anytime man builds anything anywhere, something preexisting will be affected. What overall will the damage be? I dont have a clue, I think its a foregone conclusion that this will more than likely be built. Many hours of study and test have been done, there have been court challenges and all. At the end of the day .........who knows?

Whatever Happens, lets hope it's good for Puerto Penasco.
Personally, I can't imagine a cruise ship travling all the way up the Gulf, navigating through the Tiburon Basin. Looks kinda sketchy. They can't even dock at Cabo...too shallow.

This is planned as a home port, meaning ships will leave from here and return to here

There is sufficient depth in the entire sea of Cortes' for cruisers all the way to where it meets up to Los Cabos then its very deep.

I sure like the idea of the Nautical ladder going down the coast more than this mess.Hell, Tucson to Guaymas gets you on a cruise ship.Rocky Point has no water,just plenty of hot air...........The idea of small group sails on schooners up and down the coast would just rule(schooner is a sailing boat with at least two masts)

Roberto, Estero and Jerry: see "Nautical Ladder Dead in the Water", from 2009. It was a mess from day one, and I think it's a GOOD thing that they gave up on it.
